Find interesting gifts and memorable souvenirs from Thailand in our little gift shop. Traditional handicraft such as baskets are woven by our local artisans using Krajut (Lepironia articalata or Gray Sedge) from the wetland of Rayong. Before democracy, common folk of Rayong used to make and deliver Krajut products to their feudal lords as payment for tax to the governing state. Our great Poet ‘Sunthorn Phu’, described in ”Nirat Muang Klang” how local peasants were weaving mats with swollen hands in order to pay tax, so called “Suai” in the monarchy system.
